Sufism

Sufism is the inner mystical dimension of Islam — the path of the heart. Where sharia governs the outer life, tasawwuf transforms the inner one. The goal is not information but transformation: the polishing of the heart until it reflects only the Real.

Fana — annihilation of the ego-self in the divine. Baqa — subsistence in God after the false self has burned away. The parallels with Vedantic moksha and Buddhist nirvana are striking. Different maps, same mountain.
